Hey guys,
Sorry I've been so slack this week, I've been busy quitting my second job, training a new person, working on my magazine and readying myself for the Beach Hop 50s and 60s nostalgia festival in Whangamata this weekend. I'm going for work, but with a bunch of girls from derby, but it should be excellente! I'll be rocking coloured scarfs, colourful heels and brand spanking new hair! Awesome.
Anyway, check out this week's peaches, in THE STORE now!

Holy Roller Skates Batman!
Last weekend, I very fortuitously left my car outside a bar where we'd been watching a band the night before. The next day, fair Graham gave me a lift back to my vehicle, and I headed home for a bit more sleep. Lucky for me, I stumbled across a garage sale at Harlequin Costume Hire on Auckland's Great North Road, where I stumbled on these beauties!
I now own not one, but THREE pairs of roller skates, and am very happy with all three. And these? These were only FIVE BUCKS!
I now need to clean these puppies up a little, get them some lovely new laces and sort out the wheels. I was a bit frightened on them the other day, and not just because of their tiny, tiny wheels:
They also have rickety trucks and jangly bearings- as you'd expect from old, rusty skates! But I'm not going to skate on them much (if at all), so I don't know how much to invest. So what do you think? Clean them up and keep them as is? Or kit them out with new wheels (in red) and maybe some new trucks?
Have a super weekend all! See you Sunday with some fresh peaches!

Blood, guts and brand new booty!
Ask yourself not "Who would want to dress their boyfriend up like this?", but "Who wouldn't?"...
Hello all, how are we all doing? I had a very busy weekend, and it was lovely!
I headed along to the super King's Arms Tavern for a super Collapsing Cities album release on Friday, and danced on the stage, made inappropriate comments about blue skinny jeans, and posed for one of the most hideous pictures I've even been in, huzzah!
Saturday night I attended a "God Bless America" themed party on Saturday; I was Pocahontas and m'Graham was Patrick Bateman: American Psycho. Building my outfit from scratch was fun, but flicking red dye/cornflour/water fake blood all over a suited-up, rain-ponchoed Graham was definitely a highlight! Pictures soon, I promise- I'm just saving them up to do a dress-up blog post soon, complete with our Revenge of the Nerds Prom and Very Merry Un-21st photos, which are happening over the next two weekends!
Anyway, as you can imagine, yesterday was spent on the couch, eating chips and watching the Home and Away omnibus. You know it's been a good night when you're stuck with the Home and Away omnibus.
Then last night? I had to drag my hungover, full-of-chips-and-toast-and-candy ass to roller derby practice, where I did parts 1-3 of the all-important skills test, which will enable me to join a team. Twenty laps in five minutes? Five laps in one minute? Not as easy as I would have expected. Here's hoping I cane the second part this Sunday, and that I'm in better shape than last night!
Anyway, check out these new peachies, just added to the Trade Me Store!
